We are enjoying our four 3d printers that we use with 10 to 13 year olds (soon to be the whole school f 5 -13yo). Printing should not be about the printer though and therefore be used as part design thinking. @ipi_ian is working with children using SketchUp and FormZ to produce jewellery. The print is used to cast the jewellery in pewter (using PLA filament that is melted away by the hot pewter). This is only the start for us. Ian and I are about to build a reprap printer using our other printers so we can printer larger items! Fun times ahead.
