Cool Tool | Tutti

Tutti musicLike Khan Academy teaches students in traditional subjects such as math and English, and teaches users to speak new languages, Tutti helps musicians reach their full musical potential. There has been little innovation when it comes to music play-alongs over the past 25 years. Tutti represents a dramatic change, combining interactive video and audio with traditional teaching tools (looping and sheet music). Tutti Music Player allows students to dissect the performances of master musicians through camera- and mic-switching and then play-along with the ensemble. In the US, 96 percent of schools offer music programs, but a majority are under-staffed and under-resourced. Tutti’s purpose is to help teachers make more of an impact with their limited budgets. And it’s not going unnoticed. Today’s leaders in music education adopt and support Tutti Music Player in its mission to transform music education, with songs and music lessons from the world’s top performers including professors from Berklee College of Music, Wynton Marsalis and Jazz at Lincoln Center, and many of New Orleans most respected musicians. From rock, to samba and funk, their collections provide the opportunity to become fluent across major genres in contemporary music. For now, the platform supports intermediate and advanced musicians. Beginner content is in the works.  This company says the new way is to play with masters — tune in here.
