LumenEd connects classrooms in different countries and gives under-resourced classrooms access to digital content. They accomplish this using the Bright Orange Box, a solar-powered smart projector designed to function anywhere, their Video Pen Pal program and a business model that leverages the resources of schools in the US to reach low-income communities anywhere in the world. Currently, they are working with 6 classrooms in New Delhi, India and 5 classrooms across the Eastern US for their pilot program. Next fall, they will be working with over 100 schools across the US and India with pilot programs in Ghana and Senegal.
