Trends: AOL Series Highlights Digital Learning

There’s a nicely done series of articles by Dana Chivvis for AOL News Nation section online, where “joining the digital learning revolution in America” gets some great press. The series includes “Homepage High: Teachers, Computers, No Textbooks” – highlighting the way the look of education is changing. A second article looks at “Computer Subs for AP Teacher”—and a third announces, “Computer No Substitute for Teacher at Tech High.” Check it out for yourself. With millions of people checking their AOL webmail, AOL as a news aggregator (and provider of original content such as this article series) pushes out coverage to the masses just like the New York Times might do, so even a brief life on the home page is like front page newspaper headlines used to be. And this is for edtech issues. Pretty cool.
