State of the Cloud reportOver 1,200 IT professionals across eight industries including higher education had a look at what was driving their shift to the cloud, which apps they saw as first-movers, and benefits of it all. According to CDW-G’s State of the Cloud report:

63% of IT professionals at higher education institutions acknowledged that their use of cloud at home has influenced their recommendations at work about moving to the cloud

48% of campus IT professionals believe personal use of cloud applications or mobile devices by campus employees is making their institution move faster to the cloud

43% of higher education institutions are implementing or maintaining cloud computing, up from 34% in 2011

Storage, messaging, conferencing and collaboration, and compute power are the top applications moving to the cloud in higher education. Have a closer look.
